Windswept

Rising from an empty, yet vastly rich landscape deep in the desert, is a towering rock arch made of sandstone, quartz, and time. The mood was surreal and one of peace as we explored this intricate work of art, with its cracks and grooves carved out by years of wind and water. The late afternoon sun lit up layer upon layer of color and it was then that I knew I needed to capture this scene.

With watercolors in hand, I went to work. I carefully studied every minute detail, bringing to life what many might see as just another rock.
