Fall In Blue Ridge

I took the reference photo for this painting on a very busy, windy road in the Blue Ridge Mountains. My patient husband understands my constant need to stop the car on a dime and hop out to get the shot. We’re the trees really this orange or the sky that violet? No. That’s what I love about being an artist rather than a photographer.
