Pretty Ballerina

This is an oil on canvas. I had this idea to meet with a young ballerina at the local dance school. This young lady spent an hour with me photographing her. Not the best photographer, I didn't catch her all the way 'up' on her toe so I had to use my reference photo strictly as a reference for her skirt as I adjusted her posture! This was so fun to paint! Very whimsical instead of my usual style!
