This painting was done in plein air and studio of poke weed on our farm. Poke has so many interesting stories; from Dolly Parton's lipstick, to Elvis' song, to poison berries, to spring poke salad. There is so much to learn about this beautiful wild plant. I enjoyed painting it in plein air style.
