“Dream With Me” started as a plein air painting. It was late Fall, and most of the leaves were gone. As I painted with my brush, it just didn’t feel right to me. So, I grabbed my large palette knife and scraped. Wow! I LOVED that! So I started adding a little paint and scraping, asking myself the classic questions- warmer or cooler? Lighter or darker? Soften or hard edge? As the knife blended the oils on the panel, Dream With Me came to life and it really became about the sky more so than the trees and land.
