Mohawk In The Morning

This is the view from my front porch at 5:30 am. I had just started trying nocturns, but it was midsummer, and the sun didn’t go down in Atlanta, GA until 8:30 at night. Since I tend to go to bed at 9 or 9:30, painting a Nocturn in the evening really wasn’t going to work for me. I am definitely an early riser. So I got my gear and my coffee and went out to the front porch to paint before the sun came up. (Startled my next door neighbor as she was taking her son to school as I was finishing up!)
