Autumn on the Little North Fork

This river in north Idaho is in one of the national forests near my home that I love exploring and painting. While I enjoy painting this area en plein air, this was done as a studio piece so I could work larger and with greater detail. Watercolor is such a wonderful medium, I love the process of figuring out what approach will achieve the look and feel I'm after in a painting.
