Oil on wood. Driving through west Texas, all you see is an endless expanse of nothingness punctuated by clusters of wind turbines and the occasional oil well. But occasionally you'll come across a disused building that's been baking in the sun long enough to give it a kind of poignant decrepitude that I find oddly beautiful.
