Peonies in a Painted Pitcher

This painting was inspired by the hand-made pitcher I bought while painting near Santa Fe and by the challenge of painting those exquisitely beautiful peonies and the cut glass candle holders in a home environment. I increased the difficulty by using two different lighting sources with two opposite color temperatures - unusual in still life work. I also like the idea of creating my own painted decoration featuring another bird species on this pitcher, as it complements the first pitcher painting I created in this series.
