On Heron Pond

This scene is from the pond where I live and can only be seen from a boat, which I have equipped as my floating studio. It is of a moment of tranquility when all seemed right with the world, and features a red-headed woodpecker on his rounds from tree to tree. Enlarged from a plein air study, the sheer size of this work was a big challenge to pull off.
