Quiet Morning Reflections

This oil painting was done on location in Central City, Colorado at a plein air festival. The reservoir where I set up is fairly plain when looking at the whole scene, but when looking at small sections, it's quite lovely. It was an overcast drizzly morning, which usually isn't my preference, but the water was still and the colors were just magnificent.
