Big Thompson River Hues

This river is the wildness of the Big Thompson made my adrenaline pump every time I saw it. I wanted to paint that wild and rugged beauty! I can still hear the river roaring endlessly as I look at this painting even though my Rocky mountain experience is months passed. I choose to paint the river in direct light and loved how it filled the granite rocks bordering this bright blue river were sun washed against the summer greens of the vegetation.
