First Time At The Russian Baths

I paint everyday scenes from the sometimes insular post-Soviet Union immigrant enclave that's concentrated in the Brighton Beach neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. Going to the Russian Baths is a frequent weekend ritual for many Brighton residents. Sometimes they bring American friends for a "new ethnic experience". This painting depicts such a friend of mine, who is enjoying her first traditional Banya experience.
