This is a Studio Painting from reference photos of the beautiful deep blue sky with puffy white clouds against the golden grass covered hills and cliffs of Eastern Washington, along the Columbia River. I take a lot of photos for studio work, when I'm outdoors hiking or plein air painting.
One of my favorites subjects... Clouds.
