Vincent Van Gogh

Still life of sunflowers, using peeled acrylic paint chips to utilize hyper texture through Mixed Medium. The piece is a three part series mirroring Vincent Van Gogh’s early, middle, and late life art progression. It investigates or attempts to convey an emotional release through texture with the aid of charcoal, pastel, crayon, and tissue paper. What I am to uncover is if visually, texture can convey the same stimulation that kinesthetics would without actually physical interaction.
