Frying Pan Glow

This is a pastel painting depicting a farm close to my former home. I walked through the farm (owned by the county park service) several times a week, greeting the animals, and watching the goings-on during harvests, equestrian events, children's activities, etc. I began this pastel painting with a charcoal value underpainting, smeared and set it with alcohol, then finished with rich colors.
