I am always captivated by the presence of strong contrasts, and I also am drawn to intense passages of color. This scene possessed both and was also one of my favorite genre’s - waterscapes! I chose to paint this on a aluminum panel using water-soluble oil paints as my medium of choice for this project. This painting was quite the challenge since I have only used regular oils and never used water-soluble oils on a aluminum panel before.
